RED BULL FINAL3

The Red Bull Final3 brings an additional challenge to the Austrian Alpine Open exactly where golf reaches its highest level of tension anyway: on the final three holes. Once the cut has been made and the players head into the finals on Saturday and Sunday, a separate competition within the tournament begins. Because on holes 16, 17 and 18, every shot suddenly counts twice – not only for the leaderboard, but also for the Red Bull Final3.

The scores from these three holes are combined across both days. The player who requires the fewest strokes over the six final holes secures victory in the Red Bull Final3. Should there be a tie after the 18th hole on Sunday, the result will be decided retroactively by the first shot from Sunday on hole 18 – nearest to the pin.

That is exactly what makes the Red Bull Final3 so unique. While many players on the closing holes are simply trying to bring their round home safely, a completely different dynamic is created here. Risk is rewarded, precision becomes critical and every birdie putt can suddenly make the difference. For the spectators, it means maximum tension until the very last shot, and for the players, an additional stage to perform under pressure.

And the reward is worth it. The winner can look forward to an exclusive experience at Red Bull Hangar-7 in Salzburg: a private tour through the Hangar, a unique aerobatic flight with one of the Flying Bulls aircraft and, to top off the day, dinner at the world-famous 5-toque Restaurant Ikarus at the very highest culinary level.

So once again, reach into your bag, crack open a can of Red Bull and head into the Red Bull Final3 with extra energy.
