Bernd Wiesberger is the next top Austrian golfer to confirm his participation in the Austrian Alpine Open 2026.
Anticipation is growing, and golf fans in Austria can look forward to another local hero: Bernd Wiesberger will join Sepp Straka as another top Austrian golfer competing in the 2026 Austrian Alpine Open at the Kitzbühel-Schwarzsee-Reith golf course.
Wiesberger is the only Austrian besides Markus Brier to have won his home tournament on the DP World Tour. In 2012, Wiesberger celebrated a special victory in front of his home crowd at the Diamond Country Club.
Bernd Wiesberger is an eight-time DP World Tour tournament winner, won three big events in 2019 alone, and made Austrian sporting history in 2021: he was the first Austrian to qualify for the European Ryder Cup team.
Wiesberger secured a top 10 finish right at the start of the current season. At the Austrian Alpine Open 2026 in Kitzbühel in May, the local hero hopes to shine in front of his home crowd and can be sure of the support of numerous fans.
