Nicolai von Dellingshausen wins the Austrian Alpine Open 2025 presented by SalzburgerLand. The 32-year-old German played a strong round of 65 on the final day at GC Gut Altentann, overtaking his compatriot Marcel Schneider, who had led for the first three days. Von Dellingshausen won with a total score of 261 strokes (19 under par).
Early lead on the final day
With two birdies on holes three and four, von Dellingshausen took the lead early on Sunday. Despite a bogey on hole six, he did not relinquish it. Two long putts were also decisive for his victory: he holed out for an eagle on hole nine and managed a birdie on ten. This gave the German a three-stroke lead, which he defended until the end.
Kristoffer Reitan with a final round of 60
Marcel Schneider tied for second place with Kristoffer Reitan. The 27-year-old Norwegian played a flawless final round of 60 strokes after his victory the previous week. On the last hole, Reitan even had the chance to shoot a 59 with an eagle putt, which has only happened once in the history of the tour in approximately 800,000 rounds. Marcel Siem also delivered an outstanding performance on the final day. The experienced German player moved up 14 places on the leaderboard with a round of 63 and finished in joint fifth place.
Maximilian Steinlechner best Austrian
For Austria's rising star Maximilian Steinlechner, the final day did not go as hoped. With a round of 72 and a total score of 273 strokes, Steinlechner fell back to a tie for 22nd place. In any case, the Tyrolean has won many fans in recent days. On Sunday, hundreds of visitors accompanied the Innsbruck native on his round and cheered on Austria's shooting star.
Satisfied organizers and great anticipation for 2026
Organizer Edwin Weindorfer (CEO Golf Enterprises) was more than satisfied with the tournament: "The rainy weather at the beginning of the week made conditions difficult, but the entire team did an excellent job. Players and tour officials praised the greens, fairways, and the entire course. Within a few months, we have put the tournament on a solid footing. We had an extremely large number of visitors here. Now we are looking forward to hosting the Austrian Alpine Open 2026 in Kitzbühel."
